Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to Unlock Your Story, a Men at the Movies Media project, and to the website, dashboard, and email experience tied to unlockyourstory.org.

What we collect

Account information such as your name, email address, and password credentials.
Waypoint responses, story preferences, reactions, and profile outputs you generate inside the platform.
Supporting context you choose to provide, including belief, identity, or personality-related information.
Operational data needed to run the service, such as authentication, email-delivery, and security logs.

Sensitive information

Some waypoint responses may reveal sensitive personal information, including religious or philosophical beliefs and other intimate identity-related details. We process that information only to provide the Story Arc experience, generate your outputs, maintain your Story Profile, and support the service you requested.

How we use your information

Create and maintain your account.
Generate waypoint outputs, recommendation sets, and your Story Profile.
Send transactional service emails such as verification, reveal, and check-in emails.
Protect the platform, investigate misuse, and maintain security.
Improve reliability and support the product internally.

When we share information

We share information with service providers that help us operate the platform, including hosting, authentication, database, AI-processing, and email-delivery providers. We do not currently sell personal information through the platform.

Your choices and rights

You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your information by contacting us at paul@menatthemovies.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Retention

We retain account and profile information for as long as needed to operate your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms, unless you ask us to delete it sooner and no exception applies.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No internet system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Adults only

Unlock Your Story is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
